360 Civilians Killed in Ukraine Since Russian Invasion

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded more than 360 civilians have died in Ukraine since the Russian invasion which began on February 24, 2022.

A total of 1,123 civilians have been injured, including 364 killed and 759 injured, the OHCHR said, acknowledging that the true figure is likely "much higher."

The total death toll included 74 men, 42 women, 8 boys and 4 girls, as well as 13 children and 223 adults whose gender was unknown. The total injured included 67 men, 48 women, 11 girls and 2 boys, as well as 28 children and 603 adults.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a barrage of Russian missiles destroyed the civilian airport in Vinnytsia, in central Ukraine on Sunday (6/3).

"I was just informed of the missile attack on Vinnytsia. Eight rockets... The airport was completely destroyed," he said.

Several cities and air bases in Ukraine have been bombed, fired by ballistic missiles since Russia launched its invasion in the past 11 days. Vinnytsia is in the western region of central Ukraine, far from the borders of Russia and Belarus, in an area where attacks like this are rare.
